They look good dont' they! I love mine. It did take a few miles to get accustomed to the new wrist position though. After that I was hooked!

How do they feel? When I got my RG, I opted to go with the wide glide bars and they seem comfortable, but I still get a sore spot at the base of the neck and top of shoulder. Not sure if its the bars or tense posture. Still trying to work that out.

For those interested in a quick bar fix for 08 road glides, me and RD GLD, from this forum, have both used the 08 Police Road King bars. These are the same as the old heritage bars many have used for earlier year road glides. They are notched for the throttle by wire. They are not too high, better pullback, and just a very slight turn in at the grips, relative to stock. MUCH more comfortable, sitting upright now and dealer only charged an hour labor. NO change in cables or brake line (I have ABS and still no change). RD GLD did his own, and has pics on here somewhere of it. Another plus is I can see cars behind me now, instead of my shoulders! Harley part number is 56902-08. They are about $63 bucks.

I hear ya. I tried the Wide Glide bars too. They were a little better than stock, but they did not have enough pull back and they were too low at the wrist angle. I knew I needed a bar that was higher and back to me closer. After about an hour of riding I always felt like I was leaning forward and down so my upper back/neck and shoulders would burn. After tons of research on this forum, talking to guys with different bars and looking at pictures I dove into the 517's. I now sit straight up and my arms and neck are relaxed. The wrist angle was perfect for me from the fist minute I sat on the bike.

For me, the Wild1 517's are the most comfortable bar I can imagine on a bike. I have 2 HD's and this is the best mod I have made on either bike. I have made a lot too.

Some have said they had to get used to it. One thing that IS a little different is when I am in a parking lot and turn sharp to park. That takes a little getting used to but not bad since I am going super slow.

Good luck. Lot's of options out there. You just need to find out the right one for you.

I put a big Mustang Touring Saddle on. It's a touring bike so I went all out. Care more about comfort than looks with the RG.

I save the bright chrome and sleak look for my Deuce.

Good info. I'm gonna look at the RK bars as well as the Chubbys. Big difference in price.

Sorry but I can't find that part # (56902-08) listed on the HD site. Do you have a link? Thanks.
