The guys here talked me into the SIX speakers and I don't regret it.

Had 4 Hogtunes for a couple years.

The added amp and lower speakers just plain ROCK.

GO FOR SIX!!!

 

For those who don't have the amp, it greatly increases sound quality. Not a power/loudness thing.

 

Thanks for all the great posts. I'm confused on which format of speaker system to purchase. My wife complains that she cannot hear the stock radio and she only hear muffles. I assume that she would not be able to hear the rear speakers due to possibly blocking them at the rear position when she's riding.

With the 3 way system, the front & lowers speakers are amped up but not the rear. If I was to purchase a 4 spkr system with amp would the rear speakers being amped or only the front. Ready to purchase just want to ensure that I get the appropriate system format.

Have the 3 way and love it. Installed without difficultytook an hour maybe 90 min all plug and play. Pez will talk you through any problems. Go for it!
