Im have somebody purchasing my bike this week as Im interested in an electra glide, I currently have a 2005 FXD Superglide. I went and looked at it this weekend, the bike is in excellent shape and has been taken very good care of. The info for the bike is listed below, let me know if you think this is a good deal. He told me he paid 31,000 for it, seems a little high to me, he might be including the financing. Thanks

Color is Lava Red I believe, he had it custom painted by Harley to match his truck, has pinstripes.
Cd Player with weatherband, upgraded speakers to 100 watts.
He had some electrical switches added for future accessories.
Tail light extender, not sure what this is, he said it was to add better visability.
Everything else is pretty much stock.

 

Forgot to mention the price, he wants $13,900 for it which he said was the payoff.

 

The price is about a grand below Kelly Blue Book retail, without considering the low mileage. Sounds pretty good to me.

 

It's almost a 4 year old bike (as '09 due on soon?) Seems a bit HIGH... Bling-Bling is not worth 10 cents on the dollar..
KBB for MC's is a joke when it comes to motorcycles & other rec vehicles as they are normaly low on the traid in side that's why dealers us it...
But if it's what you like BUY IT...

 

Considering the year of the bike, it doesn't have that many miles on it. I think the price is good.

(I would like to know how he has $31000 invested in it though.)

 

Thanks for the info, Im not sure what else may be extra on the bike. It does have the extended warranty which has about 3 years left and can be transferred. I need to probably go to a local dealer tomorrow to see what a new one has on it and get a price so I have something to compare it too. I was looking at them last year and 18,900 seemed like the average price, I didnt pay close enough attention to see what came standard on the bike. Thanks

Well, to me, low mileage, 3 years left on the warranty. Sounds like a good deal to me!
