Default Need help on tire choice

I have a 07 RKC, looking to replace the front its almost worn out, want to go to a tire other than a Lop. I ridse in the rain and unless it is very very heavy I dont really stop, I noticed a little hydroplaning with the dunlops at speed, atleast I think I did. After reading and reading the threads here I decided not to get the Metz tires as there were serious side wall issues happening. I just went on the Michelin website and they dont show a WW tire, just black, I really want WW's, makes the bike look better with spoked profile rims. Whats the next best option? Not concerned with price so much. Thanks in advance.

Avon Venom, been running them for a couple of years now and I likes em, Good in the rain. Available in a 3/4 and full wide white wall.

G'day Masterblaster
I have experienced the same problem on my 07 RK Custom, pretty frightening aquaplaning thru an intersection. Mind you Australian roads are mainly tarseal which with our temperatures can become very shiney

Let me finish my post, I had a finger fault.
Having researched available WW tires I am ordering a set of Continental Milestones they have been developed to provide improved wet weather grip due to a high silica content. I noticed in your post you are only going to replace your front for an extra hundred bucks you can replace both and not put at risk an expensive bike.

Thanks guys I just ordered the Avon Venoms from tire express, hope they are as good as I read. Lynz, they were cheap enough and free shipping that I ordered both front and rear. Here is the link, got it from another thread. Thanks again.

I always ran the Avons on my Valkyrie Interstate. I loved them! They were great in rain. They gave a long service life. The only thing I didn't like was that you needed to run the airpressure high. They would get greasy in hot weather if you ran them at the suggested pressure. Some of that may have come from the huge front tire honda put on the valk. Let us know how you like these tires on your king. I'm pondering them for my ultra when the time comes.
