Road King fork lock cover

Road King fork lock cover
Does anyone have the Kuryakyn fork lock cover? I have RK nacelle on my Shovel and I have the lock covered with a military coin. I am thinking that I may have a piece of plate steel welded to the frame neck so the fork lock actually works. If I did that, the coin would have to go to allow me access to the keyhole.
My thought is, get a cover that swings out of the way and mount the coin to that.
So, here is my question... is it flat or domed? I cannot tell for sure from the picture. It looks flat, but I don't wanna plunk down $40 just to see it up close.
Thanx in advance.
Here is the coin on the bike now. It is at least 1/8th inch thick, so the MoCo cover that lifts up will not work.

And speaking of grinding, make sure you don't have to grind the edge of your key down to make it work in that cover.
I have a buddy who faced that and swapped over to the Marlin flip-up. While he put a custom insert (modified badge) in his, I liked it so much that I ordered it and use the clock.
