Default Yellow Craftsman jack going back

Today, I picked up the yellow craftsman motorcycle jack. Tried it for about 30 minutes and then put it back in the box. I have an 07 Ultra and just could not get the jack to fit in the sweet spot to lift the bike. The lift treads on the jack are too wide to fit in the crossbar of the frame. In front of the crossbar the front wheel was 6" off the ground before the back wheel came up.

I'll be taking it back Monday and just ordered the J&S jack that everyone raves about. Just tried to save a little cash.

Oh, I also tried to find the Kobalt jack that someone recommend but it seems that they have been discontinued - according to two Lowes store.

Yea, the yellow jack sucks.

I own both the red & the yellow versions & the red one is a 50 times better product, it is way more sturdy & that handle setup on the yellow one blows.

I've ownedthe red Sears one & hated it, & have the yellowaluminum model now & very satisfied w/it; works great w/my '02 Ultra & the few others I used it with. Hmmm...different strokes I guess.

I've got the yellow jack and haven't had a bit of problem lifting my '07 UC, or even storing it over the winter on it.

I have the red and yellow. The red is a stronger jack and I can get it in the right places under the bike (07 SG). The Yellow one is nice too, but can be a pain to place under the bike. Watch the yellow one flex when you only want to lift one tire, it's crazy. Looks like it's about to explode.

I'll keep both, never can have enough tools right!!

You won't regret it!
Wish I would have taken my Sears yellow back after the first time!
Used it maybe four times,
Have had the J&S for about a month now, use it now all the time.
Steady as a rock and solid too!
May use the Sears on the lawn tractor like the other poster!
