Default Suggestions for LOUD pipes!!

I have an 04 Road King with stock pipes on them. I am looking for some slip ons that are noisy enough that my neighbors will hate me. I am more interested in sound than performance, but I don't want my performance to suffer (too much).

Suggestions please?

Now there is a question of a different nature.....Beat the "Bedroom community questions we see so often...... I say Rineharts, but they are not slipons..However, When you look at the price of slip-ons from a dealer vs. Rineharts on eBay----not too awful far apart depending on the bike....Also- there is a used set in the classifieds!

So, you want to make alot of noise, as so to be seen, and heard. I run a set of Vance and Hines slip ons. They sound great, and add to performance. You could always gut out your current pipes for some really loud pipes (I gutted my orginal set, but I must say, it was too loud).

I've been thinking about just gutting them out and spending the money saved on other accessories. Is it difficult? I had a friend that just hammered rebar into his to make them louder but that seems a little harsh and he sold the bike before I heard it after he did it.

So anyway, I digress, is it difficult?

Well Panacea,

I run the Rinehart True Duals and love them. Nice loud deep rumble without the ear piercing sound of gutted out pipes or straights. The Vance and Hines Ovals were my second choice and they also have a nice sound.

You spent the money for your new bike. Squeeze the wallet a little more and get something good. Rinhart Duals are 579.00 on Ebay from Eastern Performance Cycles and the Vance and Hines slip ons are around 359.00.

I haven't heard the Pythons yet but I've heard they are also very good pipes.

Harley's Screamin Eagle slip ons sound good but like previously mentioned. Check prices

Have fun shopping!

Go on ebay and search "Wild Pigs" you can buy NEW factory seconds for 145$. The flaw in the pair I bought is unnoticable. They are loud but I was told if ya remove baffles they are obnoxiously loud. 165$ with shipping and they even send a free t-shirt, available in fwd and rev slash cut and straight.

Actualy I rode two diferent bikes today. I rode my neighbors RK classic to a dealer for a service issue. After riding my RK custom this morning. He has Rhineharts I have wild pigs. I personaly prefer the pigs sound to the Rhineharts. They seem a little louder without being splatty and obnoxious. Of course the neighbor likes the sound of his better. To each their own.
