Default Looking for a overnight bag (sissy bar bag)

I am getting ready for my trip next month and I am considering adding a bag for a little more storage. I need a bag that has a pocket on it for the sissy bar but one that will not rub my fender cause I have no rack.
I found this bag at HD site but even 99 bucks seems a little high. Part #94725-98

It looked like it would be perfect. Solid pouch to slip on the backrest pad with no hole at the top. Even has a strap inside the pouch so you can strap it on the sissy bar. It doesn't give a demention of the pouch so I am not dure it will fit on my backrest pad? I have the medium high uprights and the wide RK pad with studs part #52709-97B Hereis what it looks like but no rack.

Maybe a aftermarket bag, any ideas?

Yeah well, the T bags say you have to have a luggage rack and I don't! [:@]

check out www.bikersfriend.com I've used there medium bag for a few years. Not your traditional bag, but convenient as hell to use. 10 seconds on and off, back rest is useful. Can get 3 days clothers in mine w/ shaving kit.

if you are going solo, turn it around and rest the bottom on the passenger pad. Hell, it would make a comfy back rest for you too. I've had my T bag on both ways and no problems.

I've done the same thing as DZLDR. Turn it around.

When I go 2 up on the Heritage, I bought this little rack that attaches to the sissybar for the Saddleman T-Bag to rest on. I did have to put the laydown plate holder on though so it would clear.

I bought it from a local indy shop for $60. I don't remember what make it is. I could post a picture if your interested.

The Saddleman T-bag was bought from Dennis Kirk 6 years ago. It measures 18" H X 15"W X 8" Deep. It even came with a sleeping bag roll and net that would sit on the top.

You can turn it around and have it sit on the seat instead of the rack.. that is unless you will be taking a passenger along... used mine like that on the sporty all the time..
and....what DZLDR said.. You can use it as a backrest.. My T-Bag expandable was great for that...

I agree with the others here. If you're going to put it behind the sissy bar get some sort of rack or you will be repainting your rear fender. Save yourself the grief. HD makes a nice rack that I have used on both a FXD and a FLST with and without alayed down plate mount. You can take it off if you want. I think it looks pretty nice so Ileave it on. I have a couple of bag combos that Iuse on it (T-bags). Make sure you have the raincover handy if youre using a T-bag they are not any more water proof than a sponge!
