I am getting ready for my trip next month and I am considering adding a bag for a little more storage. I need a bag that has a pocket on it for the sissy bar but one that will not rub my fender cause I have no rack.
Aren't you headed for the Black Hills ridin' 2 up? If that's the case & you don't plan to add more luggage to your bike in the near future, I'd spend the money on a luggage rack. You can get a rack that is easy to bolt on, or take off when you get to your destination. After that T-Bag is the best buy around, but in the mean time you can use anything. We've got a trip coming up in a couple of weeks & I want one of Harley's Tour-pack rack bags, but I don't want to pay for it. I've got enough points to get it free, but the certificates won't get here in time so I'll just use my old Spalding gear bag for this trip. A removable rack & a few bungee straps will be something you'll use the rest of your life.

BTW, how 'bout shortenin' your number of characters per line so these posts fit the screen?

Yeah, riding two up. The overnight bag will not rub my fender. Just having trouble finding one to fit my wide backrest pad..
Where are you finding the cheap racks?? Thanks.

Creepshow, I like to keep the street glide look when I ride solo. You can get the HD backrest that attaches to the detachable passenger rest instead of the bike. I got mine from Zonotti;s. Works perfect even with my T-bag universal expandle which is HUGE. The best thing is you can take it off with your passenger rest.

Problem is, they ain't cheap! Take a look at part #'s 53011-98, & 53743-97. Depending on which backrest you have one should work. Money invested there is better spent & will allow you more flexibility in bags than trying to find a bag that will hang from the backrest.

check out www.bikersfriend.com I've used there medium bag for a few years. Not your traditional bag, but convenient as hell to use. 10 seconds on and off, back rest is useful. Can get 3 days clothers in mine w/ shaving kit.
I'll second that. I've got the XL. Don't need a sissy bar, very durable, well made....solid item.
I got more than I was expecting as far a quality goes.
