My 08 rear brake just sings you a song when you hit them, sounds like them yoko ono albums i have. I have been really tempted to buy a set of lyndells. I actually talked to them on the phone one day, they said there pads will fix the problem.

 

My 07 did the same thing. And the same solution thing fixed it too! Swapping the rotors around...who knew?!

I tried the Harley fix with the rotor switch. It was only a temp fix. Squeal came back. Had my indie mechanic put on Lyndalls when I took the bike out storage a few months ago. Squeal is gone for good. I still get a little brake dust but not anywhere as much as I used to (my bike is white so brake dust is a pain in the ***). I highly recommend the Lyndall pads.

Yep.. My 08SG squealed at the rear every time I braked.. Finally got Lyndall's.. and no more noise..!!

Actually...... My brakes do make noise now.. Before, I could apply the brakes and the rotors, and hydraulic braking system would just stop the bike.. No noise.(except for the sometimes squeal)

Now after changing the rims, new Avon tires and Lyndall brake pads.. When I apply pressure to the ft. or rear brakes. I get the familiar Harley brake rotor sound..

Still can't figure it out..

 

I went with Performance Friction. It easy on the rotors, no fade, good biteand they last longer.
