Default Highway Peg Mounts - long or short?

I'm picking up the Ultra today.

first item (well one item on first order) is highway peg mounts. I'm looking at the HD long and short angled mounts.
Any of you folks using them?
I like to rest my heels on the floorboard and put my foot on the highway peg.
I don't like the gynocology position..

which mount would bring the peg around the lowers at about the same height and position as the brake pedal?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the HD pegs but, I went with the
Kuryakyn Longhorns that wrap around the lowers nicely.
I ride with my heels resting on the floorboards sometimes too.
You can adjust the Longhorns to lots of positions to make
them fit just right. I change um around when I take my lowers
off for the summer. Whether you got long legs or short, they
are adjustable a hundred ways.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Well, from what I've seen, the longs will wrap around towards the floorboards better. Mine just have the pegs mounted the the crashbar, but after all my research, I'm going with the longs, cuz I'm not too fond of the gyno position either. They're about $100 at your local HD dealer. Those are my next investment, on my 2000 UC.
Good Luck!!

Kury Longhorn Dually's. You can put the on a million different way. Cost less than HD 360s. Clamps hold so tight you can stand on them.

You can almost see them in my sig pic. That about where you want them?

I have the HD long angle mountspositioned just as you describe (I'm 5'8" tall). With the brackets pointing straight back they reach just past the lowers.
They are adjustable, its just a matter of finding the right position.

I can answer that cause I just went through the same problem. I am 5'7" and I bought the longs. I rode 10 minutes and took them back for the short ones. The long brought them around the fairing too much and toes kept wanting to get caught under them. Dangerous!!! Now that I have short ones installed I really like them. Go for the short.

I used the short ones. I am 6'1" and the longs seemed to be too long for me. I do have mine mounted a little higher that what you describe. I like these better than some of the other ones HD carries. Some other guys told me that those others are hard to keep tight and move around. I have not had any problems with these and they have remained tight. The same ones are available through Kuryakyn. Mine were around $90.00

Hereis the Kuryakyn Cruise Tech setup, it works perfectly with lowers & is available in long or short (mine are the long version)

I am 5' 7", I have the short arms on mine, I also like to ride with my heels on the boards and feet on the hi way pegs, mount the arms low and they work perfect.
