First ride on winter upgrades

First ride on winter upgrades
Had my first chance to ride this spring on the new updates. Wow what a difference !!
The best upgrade was the cheapest. I went to the next heavier weight oil in my front and rear shocks. I can't believe the difference, the ride improved greatly and even better - the front end stopped the bouncing on rougher roads and the CD player no longer skips. I would have done this long ago if I have known the difference was so dramatic. If you're on a lowered bagger, it's an inexpensive experiment ($20)that you may be very happy with the results.
I also took off the thunderheaders and replaced them with the Supertrapp tunable slip ons. They don't have the thump that the thunderheaders do, but they wake up and bark when you roll the throttle. I'm very pleased with the quieter level at stop and idle speed and it didn't seem to affect the performance at all. I'll have to schedule a dyno tune now that the weather has warmed. I can finally hear the radio over the pipes.
It was a good day tater.

RE: First ride on winter upgrades
I did sell them on ebay within 24 hours for $250. I had them on Craigslist and alsohere this winter but no bites.
My bike is a '94 but the custom build will be 6 years old this summer. I'm told the lids were originally made by Ness but they no longer make them. I did see a similar lid by a company called gator boxes.
