When I bought my SD I noticed the nose of the seat did not cover the tank like the stock seat. (no big deal I thought) But after riding about an hr today I noticed the nose of the seat was was not touching the tank at all. It was sorta falling behind the tank.

I hope that makes sense....anyone else with that problem. I talked to MeanCity about it but he had no trouble with a SD on his SG!!!!

 

I have a Sundowner on mine and it fits great. May have a bad one or the wrong one?

 

mine is the same way. One thing I did was loosened the screw in the back and pushed the seat forward while tightening is back up and its better but there is still a small gap....

 

I just put mine on yesterday and noticed the same thing. I had a local dealer try a different one and it did the same thing.

Had my SG sundowner seat and stock seatredone by mean city cycles, I had that problem on thestock seat, he recommended I try adjusting it by compressing the metal tounge. I have not tried it yet but it makes sense, it should at least helpthe seatfrom pulling away from the tank while sitting on it.

 

loosen your Gas Tank and push it completely down and re-tighten
