RE: 08 SG Klock Werks Windshield Opinion
I didn't actually appreciate how light the grey was going to be. I somehow thought it would be charcoal. After looking at it with a small piece of black vinyl on it I thought I'd try the fibre optic stuff and I'm gladI did.
I've got several fastaire windshields, nice product and cheap price. After a summers worth of bug removal, it's nice to just pull off the old one, keep it for a spare and throw on a new one.
I'll also switch from an 8" to a 10" for a long trip, in case of rain, like last years trip to Sturgis.
Turned out to be a real good plan.

thanks for the info,,,, I too own a SG although I usually dont wear a helmet so I dont get the same effects of the helmet. I"m about 6'3" so I"m way above the factory wind-deflector, although I kinda like it gets my face in the wind.. But I will def take your research into consideration before I buy a bigger shield!
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

One bit of information...Jim at Fastaire told me when I ordered my windshield that once he sells out of the black windshields, he will not be producing anymore. I asked why and he said that they are not selling anymore. They used to be hot, but now they have slowed down in the number of orders.
Just an FYI.

for me, at six four, the stock sg shield looks cool, but if you wanna ride without the buffeting, i tried the twelve inch stock eg shield, too tall, but the 9 1/2 inch, worked out great, almost too short for me, glad i got the clear one, from hd, glad i got the clear one and the first time you get caught in rain, or ride at dark and have to tuck in behind it, you'll hate the dark ones. just my three cents.......hope it helps.
