Default CLOCK LOSING TIME

Have a 07 EG ultra. My clock loses about a minute per day. A guy I work with has the same bike and his gains time. Is this atypical problem? Will the dealer fix it under warrenty or will I get their usual answer "they all do it" ?

You'll probably get the ole "they all do that" routine....mine loses time, also. I just reset it when it gets to be too far off. Probably not a fix for it. I am sure it, like many electronic gadgets, are well within the designed operating specs issued by the maker, +/- XX% of real time, so you get what you get. BUT...if you find a fix, please share, I could also use it. PACO

I need to figure out how to set mine. I'm getting lazy in my old age.

I've got 3 DVD players in my home....not one of them keep time worth a darn....seems to be kind of a common problem on electronic devices. I've even seen a lot of PCs that can't keep anywhere near an accurate time if they don't sync with a network time-sync program regularly (many networks have a program that goes out to the atomic clock regularly to sync time). I have a small analog clock on my handlebar (wife bought it as a birthday present years ago) that keeps better time than the stereo on my 08 Ultra. I suspect this is a real common issue.

My radio clock was loosing time and turning itself on when I started the bike up. A trip to the dealer and a download took care of it. I had to do a little homework and look up the download online myself though.

Go the below site and read the download directions and burn it and see if it works for you. I have an 06 FLHTCU and it fixed the time drift problem for me.

Chief is right on the money. It is a simple fix that cost nothing. This will also remedy the abilty to clear out the DISPLAY screen. If you haven't noticed on the same version that loses time if you go to the display screen to lighten or darken the display, while going brighter the screen will disappear. The new download will prevent this. Remember to download at the slowest speed possible while burning the disc. I have had troubles at all other speeds.
