I bought an 08 Pewter Denim SG. Didn't care for it in the brochures or pics, but once I saw on in the sun, it totally blew me away. The last two new HD's I bought, I stripped and custom painted either right away, or within a year. Part of that was to 'be different' as well as a custom bike build history (ahh, I remember when a rigid was fun!) This may be the first stock Harley color I keep. Yes, I already have a tank and a fender at my painter for some kustom flames, but the base will be the pewter w/ the flat clear coat. To each his own I guess, my dealer has both a White AND a Red Denim SG on the floor for the taking right now...but I waited for a pewter instead.

I happen to like all the denim colors, except the redish brown color, it looks to much like primer,, but some years back, when i was around 17 years old, you were cool drivin around in a primered chevelle or nova.....

I wouldn't try to convince anyone as to whether they shouldlike or dislike any of the denim colors, and I'm one who owns a pewter, but still LOVE shiny black Harleys
I do know this, and frankly I'm always a bit surprised, I have gotten more sincere compliments and comments with this bike than any other I've had. It's definitely not for everyone thank God

I think they look great, but have a feeling they're going to end up being the new Teal...
(ie - really popular then really dated...)
15 years ago a flat black Harley was a bit of a statement. Interesting to see them coming off the line that way.

They should NEVER make another denim Street Glide, that way those of us that have and love them wont be like the guys that bought Vivid Black ones, you know just like 100,000 other guys that bought Vivid Black.
