My Night Rod was Black Denim. It was one of the prettiest bikes I've ever seen! I used to get all kinds of questions and comments about my "custom" paint. But the frame was gloss black which offset the denim nicely. My SG frame is not as prominent as that one was. I think an SG done in Black Denim with a lot of gloss back powder coated parts would look sweet though. I also think that the Pacific Blue Denim is one of Harley's prettiest colors.

 

They should NEVER make another denim Street Glide, that way those of us that have and love them wont be like the guys that bought Vivid Black ones, you know just like 100,000 other guys that bought Vivid Black.

 

raded my black denim Street Bob in on my 08 SG.. Had they had any denim on the floor, I would have got one..
As far as the paint holding up, I never had a problem with mine.. I am also looking for another tin set.. as I will be doing another in "BLACK DENIM"...!! And then selling my 08 Dark Blue Pearl set..

 

+1 If they offered it on the SG I'd have probably gone that way over the vivid, although vivid black is still the fastest color

 

As far as I was informed the denim bikes are base coat paint like the rest just with a matte clear on them they should hold up just as well as all the other paints.

 

I like the Denim Blue but not the red one.

 

The pewter denim is awesome. The other denims I dont really care for. Hog Doc, thats a great looking cycle!

 

They're not for me.......

 

Personally, I like the black denim on some models and the pewter denim on some models if the rest of the bike is blacked out. The other colors are not my cup of tea.
