I have one. seems too work. Use to be standard on bikes but now is after market. If you search there has got to be a lot of information about it. I have heard a couple of different stories on why they took them off the bikes. I believe it started in 2007. Because the 07's had the new 96 engine and were producing more heat, the factory removed them to get more air to the rider. I put one back on mine to force more air on the engine and to stop the bufferting that was going on. I am riding year round with mine this year to see if I can tell a difference. Anyway there are people on here that know a lot more than I do about it. Surely someone will speak up. Good luck.

+4 The cheapest mod out there, and it really helps reduce the wind coming up from below and between the forks!
Get one!
