I've been waiting on HD to release the X2 grips for the '08 touring. All the local dealers only have a lame selection of grips for the '08's. Has anyone seen a great selection of grips for the '08 touring models? I think my dealer stocks about 3 different kinds, and Destination Daytona wasn't much better.

 

Yea, good question but I don't think going to different dealers will help. The Motor Company has not released very many. Hard to believe that they did not design and manufacture a wide selection of grips with the release of TBW bikes. I left mine stock until there is more of a selection available. I wonder if there are any aftermarket grips available.

 

Kuryakin makes a couple of grips (Iso's). I believe I read a while back that some one had modded grips to fit the 08's (Dawg, maybe?) by using the insert from the stock grip. Should turn up in a search

 

I asked my local HD parts guy & he said when the new parts catalogue comes out in June/July there should be some new ones in it that fit the 08's

the new performace machine grips are out i have them on my roadglide.

 

Just talked to the Rep's at Harley about the same thing.
He said due to the economy they have been slowing down on everything, the next big release will be the second week of July when the 09 Parts catalog comes out, but, even though it will show the part there will be a date schedule to when they will be available.

I've got ISO grips on mine...

 

I'm going to get the Kuryakyn pilot grips. The ISO and pilot grips are available. I saw them at the local dealer today. They're made specifically for the '08's.

 

Finally someone with the same question! I have the same issue with seats. I didn't know PM had their TBW grips out though. That's my next cyber stop tonight

 

www.coolsac.com has braided leather, carved leather, exotic skins, etc. Had them on my roadking, they are a good grip!!!! I like a large diameter grip, they stand behind theres too. Had one come apart, they sent new one and I sent bad one back. They will be at myrtle beach for bike week, I'm getting mine then, installed free. mark
