When i install my quick detach tour pack i got rid of the ugly licence plate holder and i install a laydown licence plate holder from Haulen *** a site sponsors.I like the look without the tourpack

Like Dawg said.................we can put the license plate anywhere's we want to, but in the end the stock license plate mount is still there because it's part of the support system for the tourpak.

What we need is a stylish replacement made for the stock license plate mount that will still serve as support for the tourpak, but look good while doing it since the license plate will no longer be there to hide it.

I want to put my license plate under my left saddlebag, which is easy to do............but I'm left with the blank peice of metal under the tourpak.

Have you seen the new Kuryakyn plate? It is curved and mounts low.

 

I like Dawg's idea of a nice chrome bar&shield support bracket to replace the stock license plate bracket...................who can make that for us?

Then I can put my license plate down under the left saddlebag, tucked down out of sight.

Is it really part of the "support"? I took it off for the quick release but it looked to me more for a place to mount the license plate AND to hold the passenger com port. I am not really sure that its structural but as I said it came off with the quick release. Glad its gone, looks like crap.

 

I moved mine down on the fender, it has an LED below the curved plate mount to light it up. Looks great.

Still need to do something with the stock mount/support..........painted it black for now to hide it a little bit along with some trimming to make it smaller.
