Since it seems that 90% of the replies don't have a water issue, and I've never heard this before, seems kinda sillyto sayit's a crappy product.Maybe you installed it wrong or got a bad gasket. Have you talked to Kury about it?
I don't have any issues now, I replaced it with the Harley part....see the before threads. I also have remained pc, and I didn't make any references to crappy!
I've had one for a couple of years. The circuit board is completely sealed. Water won't hurt it.
Looks like water destroyed the used one I bought on Ebay.......still works after I cleaned it up and gave it a alcohol bath with a plastic brush. The whole inside of the tail light lens was filled with dirt. I spent 30 minutes cleaning it up then hit the lens on the buffer with some white rouge and it now looks like new.
