Default Clear Coat Scratches

Anyone who has a dark paint job knows that you'll get scratches in the clear coat no matter how careful you are. My latest scooter (02 Road King bought new) had minimal clear coat scrathes until I brought it to the dealer to get re-shod with new rubber last fall Turns out the freaks washed the enire bike after the service....,probably with rags that were used on numerous bikes before mine....well you can figure out the results. Anyway, was wanting to hear about experiences anyone has had with various products to eliminate or at least mask the effects of scrathes in clear coat. I alwasy use good old baby diapers to wash the bike which minimizes new scratches but want to hide or eliminate scrathes that are already on the surface

The scratch x works great, I just brought a 06 RK black, I was standing in the window waiting to take del. And saw this clown wipeing it down with a papertowel dry. I like to have freaked looked like he wiped it with sandpaper. Scratch X fixed it though.

New Paint. I found out that you shouldn't try to get dried bugs off your fairing with high pressure. It blew off a piece of clear coat the size of a silver dollar. I tried to fix it my self with some buffing compound, WRONG. Had to get the fairing painted. Couldn't buy the paint (Anniversery Silver). Painter mached it pretty good, nobody but me knew it.

Hands down, wouldn't go with anything else. I even had a guy give me some "proffesional" stuff from a detailer. Didn't even compare to the Meguires
