RE: anyone lowered a F.L.H.T.?
I lowered my Ultra Classic with the adjustable 1' and 2". I went on real easy with no trouble. I slammed it all the way down and the bike still handled fine. The only issue I had was that I dragged my mufflers on my driveway. It comes down at a good slope. I then raised it up to the 1" spot and all is fine now. I did not have to do anything to my kickstand. I did not lower the front. I have put approx 3500 miles in it , speeds to 105, mountains, ect. I have had no handling issues to date. I also have short legs and could handle the stock hiegt just fine but feel more comfortable now.
Hope this helps,

I need more info on the lowering kit. I'm a lil stubby myself, and don't sit quite flat-footed as I would like. HD wanted to charge almost a grand (parts/labor) to lower my 2000 UC. No way I'm paying that, so as much info as you can provide will be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks!
Thanks!

I got it done! I used Pingel lowering kit #62140 they are made of billet steel not alum. took me about twenty min. to install put on a harley reach seat. now I can put both feet flat on the ground ,no tip toes.I can even back it in a parking spot . thats with a 28" inseam. I can notice no differance in the ride, I've put about 200 mi. on it, it handles bumps and RXR tracks fine www.pingelonline.com
