Default Flag mounts for Street Glides

Don't have a tour pack. Anybody got any suggestions as to where to get mounts, where to mount, etc? I've got a buddy that works in a machine shop and does good work, just need suggestions and may have him design something for me if necessary.

I know Kuryakyn has a License Plate Flag Mount. It's a little spendy but nice. I have a Street Glide and am concidering this one. I don't know if it's compatable with the Kuryakyn FLHX curved License Plate frame. My rear license plate frame is flat and I don't think I'll have any problems. Maybe someone else can chime in on using both kuryakyn products.

If your buddie is any good, he should be able to make a mount for you easily. let him look over your scoot with you and discuss it. Or better yet, why not just get theflags that go on the bags, the kind that mount like the flags on car windows.

Do you have a back rest? I fabricated a piece that bolts to my back rest. Very cheap & easy. Check out the link. The picture is not the best, but if you are interested I can post better pictures.

I don't like the idea of the one's like that go in car window's, etc. Something about it shaking from the wind and my paint just don't set well with me and they look cheap. lol

I'm thinking of having my buddy fabricate something that would clamp to the sissy bar upright's. As long as it doesn't interfere with my T-bag sliding all the way down in place, that would be a fine location. If we can get something designed and get pictures, etc, we might be able to make extra's for sale if there's any interest.

Got these before I traded my Vstar in for my 08 ultra.
Won't fit with the TourPak.
they're good people to deal with.
and the flags aren't cheap cloth that will tatter and look nasty.

Default Best Street Glide Mount

I got this flag mount from a friend of mine who used to make them. He might be interested in making more if there is a demand.

I have a '12 SG and the flag mount screws into stock holes on the backrest pad using the stock screws.

It is as solid as it can get but I have not run it at highway speeds. I think it would hold.

I use a standard aluminum flag pole but run a 1/2 in PCV up inside the pole for stability. Prevents the flag pole from breaking.

Let me know if you are interested.

Please spread the word, I am sure there are lots of guys who would like to mount a flag on a SG and this is the simplest, cleanest, easiet you will find.

If you are looking to run small flags all the time I highly recommend the Rumbling Pride Tour Mounts. I have them on my FLHX and love them. They also include the flags with the mounts. I have had them on for approximately three years and have not had one problem with them.:
