After months of back problems, attempted modifications and failures, i bit the bullet and traded in my Bob for a SG last night. It was a painful thing to do, but I gotta say that I'm a pretty happy guy right now.

Lousy picture, but here she is:

I'm loving the way the gold flake sparkles in the sun.

Couple of questions for you pros out there. I'm gonna have a backrest and some slip-ons put on this weekend. I've been told that the Rinehart slip-ons have the best and truest sound. Anyone have any reason this might not be true other than pure preference? I'm also considering getting a taller windshield. For the bike thats supposed to block the wind the best, i was getting blown around quite a bit today. The wind was dragging on my helmet something fierce. And are there any good, quick release sissy bars to add? I've not looked at the HD catalog yet, but thought i'd get some input.

This wa a long time coming, but i'm glad i'm here.

Will change my sig pic when i get a chance.

Beautiful bike, welcome to the bagger life. Personally I think the rumble of the Rineharts is the best, having heard them on other bikes. I don't now what the others would say, but the whole true duel is the way to go. Me I'm running Rush mufflers. Less expensive but I still love the sound of the Rineharts. Sorry I can't help you on the other stuff. Did you do a search on duel exhasts or Rinehart systems?

I honestly haven't looked yet. The overall belief at the dealer last night was that the Rinehart slip-ons had the best sound. They mentioned that true duals is the real way to go, but it might be a bit till i can afford that option.

True duals are the way to go but they will run you about $2000.

Your gonna need the quick detach backrest/sissybar and quick detach mount kit. Harley has 3 heights I think. If you've got back problems, you'll proly want a new seat too. Definately need a taller shield. I've got an 8" on mine and a 8" clearview recurve on order. Pipes are different for everyone. Listen to some if you can before you decide.

Love the color. First time I saw it, I wanted to trade mine, but I'll have to wait a year or two.

I've got the exact same bike (down to the color). I had the dealer throw in a detachable passenger backrest when I bought the bike. I put on a cheap 8" windshield and it helped with the head buffeting. I'm running Rush slipon's and like the sound, although it money wasn't an issue, I probably would have gone with the Rhinehart's. One word of caution, you might be drowning out the radio with them though.

I put the Rineharts TD's on and they sound great but expect a bite into the pocket book. After putting on the SE HD AC and some dyno time it'll set you back a bit but stage one is what everyone will tell you to do sooner or later. (I like sooner). Rineharts are a deep rumble and once cruising I don't have ANY problems hearing the music. (I also put in the hogtunes so there's a bump on quality there for the music). A buddy has the vance and hines ovals and they sound ok but not alot cheaper than mine. He's switching out this summer to my set up because he's tired of people comparing the two. lol

Either way, enjoy researching and welcome.
