Default Shock absorber air pump

Just got a new pump in the mail today. Found it through an old post here and wanted to express my great pleasure. Here's the piece:

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/162...Shock-Pump.htm

Not only is it priced incredibly right, but... the gauge is graduated to 35 lbs. That means that you aren't using a 60 lb. gauge to calibrate only 5-20 lbs of air so it is more accurate. It has a no loss/low loss connection and a bleed off button. And finally, it can be used w/out removing the saddle bag. My only complaint is that the pump capacity is a bit small, so it takes more pumps to get up from zero. Small price to pay for an otherwise GREAT product.

You can keep your 'spensive Harley B. Davidson pumps. My money spends better on beer!

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one for myself. It looks like a high quality item at a great price.

Damn . . . I bought a pump on Ebay and it wouldn't work because the fitting was too deep to screw onto the fitting on my bike.

So I bought a HD pump for almost $50.

This one looks perfect for the job.

Just like me . . . always late for dinner. LOL

Wife bought me the HD pump for my birthday in March, so NO gripe here! Haven't used it yet, but after a short two-up ride the other day, I need to. Anyone see a reason not to use the same pump as an emergency pump for the tires?

execpt for the fact it will wear you out and could take a hour or 2 to get enough air in the tire to roll it should work fine besides if you need air in an emergency you should have the time. I paid $35 for my new harley pump and yes i will keep it since it works real good.

When I bought my '03 I also got a pump, a manual and a battery tender. Definitely need a specialized pump for the shocks, whatever brand it is.

Help me with the math on this one. The gauge scale on the pump reads 400 PSI/ 30 BAR, what is the formula for coverting to lbs?

Yeah, be carefull. Thast looks like 30 barg, not PSI. So if you install what you think is 15PSI, it could be 200PSI. If this is indeed the case, it will be very tough to accuratly get 10-15 PSI in those shocks.
