RE: Best Place to Finance a Bike
My credit union policy is80% on a used bike. Wouldn't make a difference if you were a member for 30 years. Bad decision on the directors to implement that rule.
My bank in Texas will lend 100% to include taxes, title for up to 6 years at 5.99% on a 2007 or 2008 used. I think you have to be military or prior military to be a member of that bank.

BAD move, IMO. Yer gonna put up yer HOME to guarantee the note on sumthin' ya don't HAVE ta have. Yeah, the deduction an' better APR is temptin', but sorry - NO one is gonna git their claws into mah HOME.

If you own a home, consider a home equity loan. Interest rates are much lower than bike loans andthe interest is tax dedictible.

My credit union was willing to finance a 100% because they hold their value so well.
