you can't beat a credit union. I've never heard of a bank that won't finance a Harley.

My credit union was willing to finance a 100% because they hold their value so well.
You obviously haven't tried to sell one in the last year or so.....[sm=confused06.gif]

My credit union policy is80% on a used bike. Wouldn't make a difference if you were a member for 30 years. Bad decision on the directors to implement that rule.
My bank in Texas will lend 100% to include taxes, title for up to 6 years at 5.99% on a 2007 or 2008 used. I think you have to be military or prior military to be a member of that bank.

If you own a home, consider a home equity loan. Interest rates are much lower than bike loans andthe interest is tax dedictible.
BAD move, IMO. Yer gonna put up yer HOME to guarantee the note on sumthin' ya don't HAVE ta have. Yeah, the deduction an' better APR is temptin', but sorry - NO one is gonna git their claws into mah HOME.
I have to agree...don't get your home tied up in a vehicle loan. But you definitely need to find a different bank. If they're not going to be there when you need them, they don't deserve to have your business.

I traded in my 05 that I financed 100%...traded in, not sold out right...and still came out on top. Not by much, but still on top. Can't do that after three years with any other vehicle I know of.

Credit Union didn't have the best rates for used bikes, dealer suggested State Farm Bank.

Excellent rates and terms. Easy to deal with.

What? I think if he had the disposable cash he might have asked a different question.

Why in the world would anybody risk their home on a loan for a toy?
