Lowering a Road Glide
I lowered only the rear of myRG using the 1"kit from White Brothers.I now notice the the bike has atendency to float / drift when cornering at 70-80mph. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?Would you recommend lowering the front? Or just put it back to stock? I know by lowering the rear i changed the rack.
Any help would be great.

RE: Lowering a Road Glide
By only lowering the rear, you have changed the entire geometry of the bike. In my opinion, you should lower the front to bring everything back in line. Then, after you have things back to square 1, take a look at improving the handling with one of the devices that are on the market.
Our baggers do wobble/float, I have experienced it personally. But by lowering the rear only, you have magnified the problem.

RE: Lowering a Road Glide
I started by using the block style lowering kit but found I bottomed out when riding two up or if I hita deep hole or what not. I just didn't like the feel of them.
I lowered the back and the front 2" with progressive 440 shocks and progressive springs in the front. The bike is level as stock but obviously lower to the ground. It handles awesome and true.
The wobble I have experienced has been more when passing another vehicle at higher speeds. Quick acceleration from say 75 up. It's like the rear end lifts a littleand you loose a little traction. But I don't think it has anything to do with lowering the bike.

RE: Lowering a Road Glide
Check out Pheonix Customs. Ron cut down a set of stock air shocks for me and then I lowered the front 1". My ride is a 08' Street Glide. The bike rides better than stock with no wobble. Start with 20 lbs pressure in the back and go up if you think there is too much squat riding 2 up. Trust me you'll like the differance.
