CruzPac from Scootworlks
I'm still evaluating my options before I order a 2008 Street Glide. I need first to unload my chopper and my Nomad. Hopefully it won't take too long.
I'm looking at cheap Tour Paks cause I don't want to pay a fortune for something I'll use very rarely, maybe 2 or 3 times per year.
Besides the famous "El Cheapo" from Mutazu, the options are very limited.
This morning, I came across Scootwork's website.
http://www.scootworks.com/partstrunk.htm
They're specialized in Metric accessories and they carry a smaller trunk than the King Tour Pak. It has exactly the same look but it is 30% smaller . This is perfect cause I think the King Pak is too big and kills the looks of the SG. The chopped pak looks a little better cause it's lower but it's as wide so I'm not crazy about it either.
Scootworks sells theirs for $380.00 unpainted which is not too bad. Problem is, they have no mounting bracket for HD so I'm wondering if someone has any experience mounting it on a HD Touring bike using the two-up mounting bracket.
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check to see if your dealer discounts parts at time of purchase. My dealer knocks 20% off, which puts the price, without mounting hardware, at $540 for a painted to match King tour-pak. By the time you paint the cheap one, you may not save that much if you can catch that kind of deal.
I was thinking about the chopped tour-pak when I bought my 08 SG, and the advice I got was buy the big one, especially if you travel, which I do. Yeah, it changes the look, but I've seen some pictures on here of SGs with the king tour-pak and it looks pretty good. The best part is the detachable set up - on the bike when you need it, easy off when you don't.

My dealer gives me 20% off everything I buy along with the Street Glide, but even with 20% off, I still don't like either HD paks. It's my personal opinion but I find the King TourPak too bulky for the Street Glide and the chopped pack is nothing but a King TourPak 3" lower which, to me again, leaves it too wide and too deep compared to its reduced height.
The King is 22" x 16" x 11"
The Chopped is 22" x 16" x 8"
The CruzPac is: front 17.5" x 14.5" x 11.25" and back 15.5" x 14.5" x 9.75"
As you can see, the CruzPac is smaller than the Chopped Pak in 2 dimensions and only 1.75" higher and it is smaller than the TourPak in its 3 dimensions which should better fit the looks of the SG. Again, it's my personal opinion.
I looked at the Mutazu aka "El Cheapo" a few months ago and besides its very cheap price (and lower quality), there's not a big difference in size compared to the King TourPak.
