Default Ultra Tour pack removal

Been reading posts about making the Ultra Tour Pack detachable. Can we do this with the wiring and antennas etc.? Does HD sell a kit for this?

The King Tour Pac on my RC is detachable since thats the mount I've put it on. As for antenna plugs they just unscrew and you can back them out of the pac gromets. Same for the lights. I don't know about the speakers they must have something that you can disconnect from the wiring with.

But that being said stock H-D radio's HK's don't like having the rear speakers cut loose! Something about programing or what ever goes nuts......

If you have speakers, and H-D radio, you need to check into it.

Do a search on my uname, I listed the electrical connectors I used on one of them. It is nothing to it.

You can detach a tour pack on your Ultra (see my pic). All you have to do is hide all the wires/antennas under the seating area. You will lose your CB capabilities and will lose the radio unless you do an antenna relocation kit or put the antenna in the front fairing. The rear speakers have a qwik disconnect on them and the 2 antennas unscrew and the tour pack light unplugs. It's very doable. You can still listen to CD's in the radio just want have very good reception on the radio stations. I only listen to CD's so losing the radio isn't that big of a deal to me. If you want the radio stations go with the hidden antenna in the fairing.
