What's best? Main Stand or Show Stand?
It's all about parking the Beast upright in the garage to save space. My old Ultra used the front mounted MoCo 'show stand' which was simply a roll on/roll off pair of legs, but now Harley list a main stand (well, that's what we call 'em over here..) that bolts under the gearbox. Presumably you stand on the left of the bike, put a foot on & HEAVE up, but whaddya hold onto on a SG?

RE: What's best? Main Stand or Show Stand?
Just this weekend I installed the Chrome Display Stand (which sits at the front of the engine) and I love it. I mainly use it to save space while parking in my hallway and I would not have the room there to get off the bike and pull it on any centre stand. The display stand is simple to use in cramped spaces and works very well!

I have the Wheeldock stand. Easy installation and use.Fits udner the frame, kust ahead of the rear wheel, you pull the bike on the stand prior to dis-mount.

Reverend, look at www.speedlinemoto.co.uk, they are the UK distributors for the Wheeldock EZ-Up centre stand.Fitted one last week to my mates Ultra, good, well made product, fitted in less than 1/2 hour.So good I just ordered mine,£200 including delivery.Ordered on Tues and delivered Thurs.IMHO a much better prospect than the HD stands for our weather, powder coat as opposed to cheap chrome and much cheaper at UK prices.Hope this helps.

Thanks, folks.
Would I be correct in thinking the Wheeldock doesn't actually get the back wheel off the floor?

You are correct, the back wheel does not leave the pavement. Instructions state, place a 1/2 inch surface, board, plywood, etc, under the stand legs to raise the rear wheel.
