Mine are 12.5" Wild 1 Chubby's.... I'm 5' 11" and they are perfect fit. No lower back pain like the stock bars gave me.

I am 6'4 and shrinking (getting old), but I have the 18" 1-1/2" thick chubbies on mine. I would say you could go with 16's and feel real comfortable.

I ran a set of Heritage Classic handlebars on my 97 Road King; they were comfortable, butI didn't seem to have as much control or balance as with the stock bars; due to the amount of rise, they would come loosepushing my bike around on rough terrain. I ordered a set of Wild Ones 518s and plan to have them installed as soon asweather and time permit.

Haderlie.....Any pics of those 575's on your bike?

I'm 5'9 andcould live with the stock bars but would rather have something with about 2" more rise and 2-3" more pull back. It's the same dilema for all RKC riders. 513's may be an option, but am not sure the pullback would be there.

Will stock length cables, wiringand brake lines work with the 513's?
When I went to the braided lines I deferred to the expertise of Johnny Vaughn at www.hdbikeparts.com
For sure, mine were not stock length, but I can't recall what they were.
+3" on clutch and top brake line, +4 on throttle and return ????? I originally believed the throttle and return lines were too long but they had to be looped in the nacelle in a pretty big arc to allow the return cable to not bind when the throttle was released so they needed to be that length. Talk to Johnny to be sure.

575's on your bike?
One thing to note....the 575s extend farther on each side of the bar mount before they turn up, in order to clear the batwing fairings on EGs.
That may look weird on something like a Road King. Those are the bars I originally wanted and Johnny filled me in. That's why I went with the 513s.

I never did experience any pain between the shoulder blades with the stock RK bars, but didn't like having to reach for them and the wrist angle they put my hands at. The first time I went any distance on the 513s I felt something between my shoulder blades. It was a one time event....never felt it again.
This week I'm going to service the front end of my bike and I plan to rotate the 513s back a bit towards me while I'm at it. I want to reduce the reach an inch or so.
