Once, I strapped a 6 foot long molding to the bottom of the right floor board back to the side of the bag guard. I think if a person took the right bag off and slid a scabbard from the back downwards toward the front, with the front against the side cover, it could be done. My soft gun case with a 10/22 Ruger fits pretty good with GOOD tarp straps. And you'all thought all rednecks were from down South. Dan

I don't have an Ultra so I don't have bag guards but it seems to me you could fab removable brackets that bolt to your guards and an ATV gun case...

How about mounting it across the forks under the fairing?

I carry my shotgun and rifles in a soft case, straped to the luggage rack with a couple of bungie cords. Never had any problems.

Ive actually seen this on the freeway, at first I was like WTF then I realized the guy had no other way of carrying it. No clue whata highway patrol would do.

Some great ideas guys, thank you.
Brewdog
just went through the eGlide site. Fantastic stuff, got lots of ideas. Will wait till I get delivery of the bike (August hopefully) and probably go with their rear mounted shelf and use a gun case to carry it.
Thank you for taking the effort to post the address.
Ihave an AR15 (very tight restrictions on them here) and would love to turn up to the range and slip my very American icon rifle from the back of my very American iconBike.
When you live in a country run by socialist lesbians to whom "America" personifies all the evils in the world you do get some pleasure out of openly showing you like America and her products.
If it wasn't for American troops and American guns we would all be speaking Japanese down here in New Zealand.

I landed my PA 18 at a roadhouse near the Copper River in Ak. There was a Knuckle head(it was a far cry from a dresser)there with a rifle scabbard tied to the front fork tube. A man and a woman came out and he shoved a model 94 Winchester in the boot boot and off they went.

And I thought you were stereotyping the rider until I re-read your post... [sm=boink3.gif]
