Just tried the 6.5" Clearview with recurve
Got a great deal on a blem from a fellow member. Just got a chance to try it out. The verdict??? Doesn't work for me. I currently run the Fastaire 8". Works great. So I figured the 6.5" Clearview recurve would be about the same. Not so. Not in my case anyway. The wind hits me right below the glasses. Big time fluttering. Took a 10 mile ride with each to compare. It looks great anyway. I'm sure for someone 1/2" inch taller or shorter it would be the perfect shield. Unfortunately not for me. I think I'm gonna try the 8" Clearview now.

I am 6'4" and just installed the 8" recurve from clearview. Its perfect for me, I was riding with 6 1/2 and the wind hit me right in the eyes.
I ordered a "blem" shield from John at clearview(saved me $20)...Like Monstermile said I can't see the blem on mine either

I know this really isnt the place to put this and there is a section for it but I have to give monstermile a huge thumbs up on the sheild I bought from him! First off I got this huge box in the mail and I could figure out what it was becuase it was so big. Bigger than I expected the sheild would be. Well I opened it and tucked bewteen 1" cotton batting is a sheild wrapped in plastic anf then the plastic cling. Very well packaged and great with communication. Very nice guy to deal with and a lot of the times great experiences go un-noticed. We usually only see the bad well monstermile give yourself a big attaboy!
