.... cause I talked to the dealer this morning and my new bike is READY TO GO! I'm going to pick it up tomorrow at noon and enjoy a liesurely ride back up Island - about 165 miles so I should have it pretty much broke in by the time I get home. Looks like even the weather might co-operate.

Could be a restless night tonight, methinks.

Love that colour - would have been a tough choice for me if the dealer had one in stock that colour

I'm 67 years old, I have been riding for all my life, (but I am offically done) have had so many new bikes, both HD and "Metric", there is NOTHING in this world like picking up your new ride, nothing. When we were 18 years old we were the BAD GUYS, not that we acted like that, but back then if you strattled a bike, leathers, rolled up sleeves, boots, you were a bad guy, oh how I LOVED those days, you young guys will NEVER know that I'm very sorry you will NEVER live those days, the country and life is sooooooooooo very different.

 

When you say you can't believe your dealer called and it's ready, is that because your bike was not supposed to be in yet? Just wondering if it came in around it's due date. I am waiting on a SG and a friends just showed up two weeks late. I heard they layed off 450+/- at HD and was wondering if we were going to start seeing the effects from that.

Good for you! I picked up my new RKC two weeks ago and felt like a little kid on Christmas eve - I really don't know why I even tried to go to sleep, there was no way I could do anything but think of my scooter. I've owned lots of bikes over the years and never get over the feeling of picking up a new one. God only knows how many cars I've owned, but picking up a new bike is unlike anything else.
