Thinking of getting a FLHT with the silver motor, and making that into some sort of Street Glide.
Who thinks what and why ?

Don't really care for the silver motor. One of the things I had to have was the blacked out motor. Now the new SE Ultra has the silver motor, but it's powder coated or something. Doesn't look to bad.

I like it very much and it was one of the reasons I bought the bike.

I had a 98 FLHT I took the cam cover, the rocker boxes, and the primary cover, Black powder coated.I then bought the Billet derby cover, and cam cover, and installed them. It looked great. Now I have a black motor with all the chrome. It looks great.

I have a black motor now but I would buy another bike with a silver motor.
Both colors look good to me it's the paint joband all the other bits and pieces that really make the bike.

I like the silver motor . . . Totally chromed out of course. With that chrome bridge thing btwn the eng & trans.
Again, as prev stated, it depends on the PJ.

How quickly they forget. They made em silver for many years (decades)

I don't care for the silver motor... one of the reasons I was holding off on getting a road glide... until now. I got a look at my newest ride today still in the crate... I'll be riding her home on the 1st.

I like them with properly placed chrome they look nice. That's the fun init you can change the look many times if you have the $$$$$$ for the components. Have fun!! Britt
