Default Changed mirrors for safety

Once I installed a set of Wild 1s Bagger Bars, all I could see in my mirrors on my Street Glide is my two fists.

I removed the stock mirrors today and installed a set that attach on the bars in the usual location. What a difference! The mirrors I chose to install are Harley mirrors that incorporate a small convex mirror in addition to the standard mirror.

I'd rather be able to see what's around me than look "cool". These mirrors do look good, however.

I haven't changed my bars, but I'm considering adding more mirrors to the handle bar mounts and just leave the stock ones on too. I just can't see enough out of them. Not sure how it would look though.

I thought about the same thing, but decided having four mirrors were just too much.

Take the stock ones off. Its easy. Removing five screws (three windsheild/two outboard of each speaker) allow enough room to use a 1/2" socket and remove the stock mirrors.

Of course I've never had the stock mirrors off, but doesn't it leave a holewhen you remove them?

It actually leaves two holes on each side. One about 1/2" in dia. and a smaller one beside it that is about 1/4" in dia.

Stop by a home improvement center and pick up a few plastic plugs to cover the holes.

Some pix would be nice. Thinking about doing the same thing. Another thing you can do with the holes left behind is install tweeters for your stereo there. Somebody on the forum did that, but I don't remember who. Probably can do a search.I believe he posted before and after pictures.
