Awaiting the arrival of my 2008 FLHX, and am considering the following upgrades:

103" ci
SE 211 Cam
SE Heavy Breather Kit
Perfect Fit push rods
SERT
Rinehart Tru-Duals

Any input on this combination would be helpful........

 

My sig shows what I did. It works for me and I'm happy I retained the full 2 year warranty.

 

I don't know alot about the different cams. Some others on here do. But I can tell you the 255 cams with the 103 motor produce great torque. As you can see in my sig line, I didn't gain as much hp as I thought I would, but the tq is very good for this build. 102 tq is really fun from stop to about 4,500 rpms.

The Bub 7's seem to be the only real difference between your build and mine. I wonder if that explains your better numbers or if my tune isn't quite right yet.............

Menace, if maintaining the the MOCO 2-year warranty on the engine is important to you, verify that using a cam other than the SE 255 won't impair the warranty. The SE Stage II BB kit, installed by the HD store, doesn't impair the warranty and that kit uses the SE 255.
