Default Diamond Cut Cylinders

Just wondering about cylinders being diamond cut. I am building a bobber andmight be getting my 113" Ultima engine cylinders diamond cut. I am on the touring section most of the time so Iam comfortable here asking questions.

Does anyone have any good pictures of their bikes with cut jugs? It will cost me around $600P&L to get it done, so I hope for it to be worth it.

Diamond cut motors are absolutely beautiful in my opinion. They always catch my eye. If I had to choose between chrome for the bike, or diamond cut jugs, I'd have my bike torn down. I also heard they're supposed to help with cooling because there's more surface area.

Diamond cut on a bobber??? Bobbers are all about the theory "less is more." A diamond cut engine on a bobber would be out of place.

Live2Ride - I like the new ride! Congrats.

That is going to be the only "shiny" on the bike. All else will be semi-gloss black. Got to have a little bit of shine or I would puke.

I thought about doing it when I did the 103" upgrade a couple of months ago, but couldn't justify the $600 just for a little extra sparkle.

The stock look works fine for me. Makes the bike a bit of a sleeper too.

Make sure you re check the bore once you have them cut. We have seen where the amount of pressure that they use to cut with has move the cylinder around. Just a heads up, so you dont run into a issue. We do a fair amount fo them for customers and we have NEVER seen any extra cooling as they state. But I would say that 100 % that have it done are doing it for the look only.

WOW THAT LOOKS SWEET!!! Its a good thing I didn't see that before I finished my 113" or I would have got mine done in blue with diamond cut, I can just imagine what that cost to get done.
