I have a 02 Road King and I noticed that the lights are still on when the ignition is turned to the Acc. position, any thoughts?

 

same as the last 3 harleys i have owned
that is standard

 

Just the auxilary lamps or headlamp too?

On my 07 RK, the auxilary lamps stay on with switch in acc. - not the headlamp - but that's because I did the wiring mod to keep them on with my high beam. Easy answer for me is toggle them off. And not an issue anyway since I have nothing on acc. circuit anyway.

 

FWIW, on my '03 EGC no lights (taillight, headlight, turn signals, passing lamps) are on with the ignition switch in acc position.

 

I need to know what to do to keep the headlights off on acc. because I just added a radio and I dont want the lights on when the bike is turned off.

 

On my EG, the only light on is the speedo. Check the wiring diagram in your manual.
