did not do mymotor to go fast -- no fun in that -- doing wheelies and burnouts now that'swhere it's at -- I'm immature for my age, just ask my spouse--we laugh too everytime the front tire leaves the ground.

My spouse loves goldwings--if I could afford a second or third bikeI would not mind have a black gold wing with the lighted wheels

ORIGINAL: NICK56

ANY 600 CC CROTCH ROCKETWILL ALSO BLOW UR SIDE COVERS OFF.

I GET A LAFF OUTTAGUYS IN THIS FORUM WITH THERE EX SYSTEMS, FUEL MODS , A/C, HEAD WORK, BIG INCH MOTORS ETC... BOYS UR NOT RIDIN A HOG TO GO FAST, IF U WANNA GO FAST BUY ANY JAP BIKE..

Harley's are not about speed in any way, shape or form. They're about class, style, comfort and nostalgia. These motors are 1930's technology with electronic ignition/EFI, but still old technology so very limited in what you can do to beef them up.

No other bike made comes even close to H-D when it comes to class, characterand nostalgia - I wouldn't trade it for a 9 second motorcycle for anything.

Just My Opionion here......but, in every measurable sense, the Wing is a superior machine.

But, it just ain't a Harley. I don't think a Wing would turn me on, the way my Ultra does.........but if I could afford two bikes, I would have one, to go with the Ultra.

I guess riding at 100 mph ain't the smartest thing to do....but, that is just my opinion.

Don't get me wrong guys, it didn't surprise me that he was so much faster. I rode lots of Jap bikes before I went Harley in 2005. The part I thought was so cool was that by looking at these two, I bet riding 100 mph was something they never or seldom do. They just had some fun blowing me off the road. I bet they are telling the story to their old folk friends as we type right now.

I don't know at what age you consider "old folk". Chances are they have been there and done that many more times than you. Obviously they can ride well. Don't mean to be rude, it's just that i'm "old folk" myself.

I didn't mean any disrepect. I am getting older everday just like everyone else. I am happy they are out there riding and I am sure they enjoyed that little ride. I hope that 20 or 30 years from now I am doing the same as they were last night.

I have no doubt the guy can ride. I was barely out of an S curve at 90 mph when he passed me doing at least 120 mph. I just said I got the idea they don't ride that way very often, not that I KNOW they don't or they never have before.

It's a small town. They probably know who I am and someday we will see each other in the coffe shop and laugh about it.

I am not offended when someone shows me up. I think it's cool. If you got it and you want to flaunt it, go for it!
