Good job popo! This whole thread started with a guy relating a funny story and you seize the opportunity to insult three people you don't know over their actions on road you know nothing about. Stellar. You must be a real treat to hang with.
Very well said. You obviously are better at finding civilized words to respond to this kind of bs than I am. The only words I can think of for someone that rude would probably get me banned from this site, and I kinda like here so I don't want that to happen.

Too many good folks are having fun here to let onewanna be know it allrain on my parade.

I wouldn't sweat it. Admin. understands. Set'em straight, everytime. 'They' say things here, they would "never" say to your face.I've had the same problem in prior posts myself and will probably happen again. Lifes too short to take s--- from dirtbags.[sm=smiley20.gif]

Thanks for the support guys, but don't let yourself think I am sweating it. I have real thick skin when it comes to words flung at me. Funny thing is, I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and at least as much respect as they deserve. This is just one of those guys who gets no respect, deserves no respect yet demands it from everyone else.

I usually don't like to pick on people, but because of his attitude, all I have been doing all morning is laughing about his special bike. The POS. I bet all the locals in his hometown see him coming and say, "look, here comes the pos on his pos again!"

Cruising Speed of 100 mph... Your and Idiot...

S Curves at 90 mph... Your more of an Idiot then I thought...

Old Folks on Wings passing you doing 90 mph... Their Idiots too...

Glad I don't live in Illinois... Seems like everyone there are Idiots...

Sometimes I'm embarrassed by my Brothers in Blue. This would be one of those times. But, your young, you'll learn. As it has been said many times. It's not always what you say, but how you say it.

Harleys are only fast when compared with other harleys. Except for the vrod, it can hold its own in a small way against some others.

I like all types of bikes. I do some sport riding ( RE: my Buell in my sig ) but mostly, I ride a Harley because it's who I am. I ride the Buell because it's kind of who I wannabe. I will say this.

I am skitzo. WHen I am on the Harley, I can't see myself ever owning another bike. When I am on the Buell, the thought of riding the Harley never crosses my mind. I ride each in spurts. Once I am on one of them, it's hard to convince me that I should swap out for the other. Quite happy riding either of them, but they are totally different, and I like them both for different reasons.

I guess that's the best way to compare Harleys and other bikes. You should like other bikes. But there's no bike that makes me happier than my Harley. When the scoot is running good, the weather is nice, and I am on a good stretch of road, the only thing I can say is that I am totally at peace with the elements, and it makes me very happy. Would I like to change some little things? Sure, everyone does, to make it perfect. And Harleys are much more condusive to little tweaks to make it fit just right. And it ain't Harley's fault that others don't have as much available or as many options.

But ride it like it came? That's like buying a suit off the rack at Wal Mart. It'll never fit like that Men Swearhouse that you get ever so slightly tailored. And you're going to like the way you look.

Harley's are not about speed in any way, shape or form. They're about class, style, comfort and nostalgia. These motors are 1930's technology with electronic ignition/EFI, but still old technology so very limited in what you can do to beef them up.
I agree. That's why I have an Ultra Classic and a BMW sport tourer. I have the option to ride+150 mph or cruise comfortably two-up. I often question the money some invest in big inch V-twins. Then again,I've come to realize the goal is to be fast amongst ourselves, not other marques.

I've had 2 1800 Wings and well you will have to spend ALOT of money to make a Harley run with one but who cares. I really liked my Wings just like most like their Harleys.

rochkes...thanks for relating the story. It made me laugh out loud and I really needed the laugh.I actualy kinda like the look of some of the new wings, plus all the extra goodies would be fun to play with for just a little bit. But they really are not for me. I love my RG. Keep your HD and ride any damn way you like. Thanks again for the laughs!

In my opinion, the Goldwing is just a sports car on two wheels. I like sports cars (used to own an MGB) and I like motorcycles and that's why I want my motorcycle to look like a motorcycle
