I knew I would get someones panties in a bunchI agree that there are many other quality bikes out there, but there is only one H-D. This is a bike that most want, but can't allways have. Point taken though.

Gold Wing are fast, but HDs look alot better!!

 

It may not be quite is comfortable for a long tour as a Wing (I wouldn't know), but I can easily ride my EG two up from coast to coast. What I can't see is riding a Wing on back county roads at sunset at 45-50 mph and feeling great about it. Only a Harley does that. How many Wings do you see cruising around locally every evening?

I have a '05 Goldwing GL1800 in my garage that I am trying to sell. I am replacing it with a '08 Electra Glide Classic. After 2K miles on the EG, I feel that I made the right decision. Since I never used all the power the Goldwing had, I don't miss it. The biggest performance change for me is that I seem to change gears a little more often with the EG.

I spent a fair amount of time on one Goldwing forum. The boys over there did like to brag how they blew the doors off of a Harley or how theyhad stoppedto help a broken down Harley rider.

Dealing with the Dairy Queen crowd in selling this Goldwing is driving me nuts. So, if any one knows someone looking for a GL1800, send them my way.

BTW, I am located insoutheast MN.
