Default Wild 1 508's or 502's?

I'm lookin' to put either a set of 508's or 502's on my bike at some point. I really need the extra pullback since I'm pretty short. The stock bars hurt my back after a while. The 508's are nice, but I'm worried about the angle they put the grips. Do they put your hands in an un-natural position that gets uncomfortable? How do they handle the twisties with your wrists in that position? Am I completely wrong about the positioning with them? I had a set of the 502's on my Softail Custom and I loved them. They were one of the best mods I did to the bike. They let me lean back and put my hands right where I wanted them. My hands were about shoulder height or maybe about an inch or so lower. I love the look of apes on a Road King, but I really don't mind the look of the 508's either. Plus, according to the Wild 1 website, I can use stock cables with the 508's. Right now, I'm still leanin' toward the 12.5" apes. However, I'm still open to goin' with the 508's if they really are comfortable and still allow for good handling in the mountaintwisties. What are you guys' thoughts?

518's for me on my RK Custom. Never had a problem with them or gotten wrist fatigue because of the position

Does it change the position that much from the stock bars, or does it stay pretty much the same? I guess I should also ask, dothe Custom and the Classic have the same stock bars?

Well damnit! Don't ever let that happen again! LOL! Just messin' with ya. I'll have to take a look at the 518's. How do they compare to stock?

I just looked at the 518's and they're for riders who are average to above average height. I'm only 5'6", so I doubt I fall into that category.

502/513/515...You can adjust for as much pullback as you need, the 508/518 just didn't feel natural..

I have had all of the numbers listed and the 513's are what's on the bike now.

I'm 5'8" and the 518's fit just right. The RK Custom has a beach bar style OEM so it is different than a RK, I felt like I was reaching forward on a standard RK. You being 5'6" I would do the 508's (more pull back than a 518) you won't be disapointed.

508's are great - I'm 5'4" so I know what you mean about the sore back with the stock bars - You WILL have to extend you switch wiring regardless of what the web site says - if not you'll find the stock wires just peak out of the handlebar exit point which is pretty much useless. If you don't have factory cruise the easiest way is to purchase new controls (I said easy not cheap) with the longer (pre-pinned wires). If you have cruises you need to think about soldering. I think there is a company called Novello or something like that sells wire extensions but I personally don't like these as they are essentially held together with heat shrink. I'd also recommend purchasing the TGS meant for internally wired bars as it comes without the green plug - I can go on and on about the install as I'm currently doing it for a second time cause I wasn't to happy about the first attempt but I'll park it here unless you like more info.

Yeah I know the wiring would have to be extended, but the clutch and brake cables wouldn't have to be replaced. How much of a difference is there in the angle of your hands between the 508's and the stock bars? I know the 502's, the angle they put your hands is about the same as the angle of the stock bars.
