The angle of yours hands changes quite a bit different - I've heard others describe it as the difference between pushing a lawnmower and a wheelbarrow.
--I would recommend changing the brake cable - though apparently those more apt than I can bend the existing one to fit - I'd tried that with great frustration.

The 508's will be a radical change from the stock Road King Classic bars. I did that change, and never really felt that the 508's were what I wanted:the grip anglewas very much like a"wheelbarrow", although I got used to that after a while; they had way too much pullback for me (5'10", 34" sleeve). I was very upright, and the grips came close to hitting my knees when in full lock.
But... they sure look cool and are of great quality. But for me, the 518's would have been a better choice.

Hi, I am 5' 6" and pot 508s on my previous classic. I tried to fit them myself but the wiring was a pig so the dealer finished them off. I'd go with the dealer from the start. I loved them. I didn't feel that the angles were wrong - in fact I didn't feel that they were to far from stock. I would have loved to try the 518s as I like idea of the wider reach.
