Default Question about service manual

I am planing on picking up a manual one of these days and was wondering does it cover engine disassembly and reassembly? Also if so does it give you all torque specs needed?

The H-D service manual is the best written, easiest to read manual I have ever owned. With it, you can wrench with confidence. Most of us hesitate at the cost but it will, without a doubt, save you al least one trip to the dealer and when it does, you've gotten your money back and more.

I jusst completed my 1000mi service with the help of the Service Manual. I picked it up off of E-Bay from LakeShore HD for $48. I saved about $300 buy doing it myself-------it ain't rocket science.

yes to both questions.
It explains removing and reinstalling.
Doing only the top end or only the bottom end separately.
Explains oil flow through the engine gives you warnings through out.
many places it lists the wrench / socket sizes.
But get both the service and the electronics manuals as they compliment each other.

I had my bike stripped down basically as far as you could and put it back together using the service manual with absolutely no problem.

Thanks for the responce guys I guess the manual will be a must have before I start my engine build. I have built many car engines but for some reason am a little intimidated by tearing into my bike but as long as I have a good manual I feel comfident to do my own build.
