RE: nitrogen in tires
My local Costcos have been using nitrogen in their tire shops for well over2 yearsand the "extra" service is FREE. They even putgreen valve stem covers on to remind you to fill up with nitrogen. When I need to add more nitrogen to the tires, I just swing by the shop when I go shopping and they will put it in for FREE.

You won't notice any difference between nitrogen and air when you ride. You will notice that you don't have to add air to your tires as often. Some of the guys at the shop I work at swear by it, some don't bother.I may use it next time I need air, butdoubt I'd shell out 16 bucks for it.

RE: nitrogen in tires
My Indy used nitrogen in the last tires I purchased from him. No extra cost but we all know he had the price built in. Whenever the pressure gets low I have to take it to him for a fill up. I had to add air over the winter and took the bike into him and he pruged all of the airr out and added the nitrogen. If nitrogen is good for a race car why not a bike? Granted a race car goes faster but its 4 tires v 2 tires. I would think from a safety standpoint $16 isn't much.
