Will the older SE mufflers fit an 08?

RE: Will the older SE mufflers fit an 08?
Yea im really not worried about violating any kind of EPA regulations. As long as the bike still runs alright is all im worried about. And i will be keeping the stock mufflers obviously so incase i dont like how they sound or they dont fit or whatever the case may be. I got these pipes dirt cheap so its no big deal.
BTW how would i know ifmy bike hasthe catalytic convertors? The bike doesnt have any o2 sensors in the mufflers or anything just in the head pipes.

I know the 48 state touring models for 06 had cats, the 07 models did not and the 08 models do. The old style SE mufflers WILL fit and probably run ok. If you need to richen it up just a little, the Oxygen sensor mod from Nightrider seems to do the trick at 75 dollars if I remember correctly.

The SE slip-ons should fit fine. I installed some older ones on my '07 and have been very pleased with sound, looks, and performance. I also just installed a pair of the Nightrider O2 IED's and the bike runs ever better and instead of hurting fuel mileage, so far the numbers have improved. They are very easy to install and really do help the engine run cooler.

Been running these for six years and wouldn't have anything else. They are stamped for off road use only on the inside, go figure? Did HD think these were going to be used on a dirt bike!
