Default Fork Tube Relfector

Has anyone tried to remove the reflector on the forks?

I did not have to do it on mine, because I replaced the legs with chrome. I did read on this forum, that taking dental floss or fishing line and run it behind the reflector to cut through the 2 sided tape. Then use goof-off or another glue removing formula. It should be that simple.

Hope this helps, Gene

Yeah what 100yrfatboy said but I would also lube the floss or fishing line with WD-40. Just makes it glide over paint easier.

Heating it up with a hair dryer helps too.

Do it in this sequence heat it up with a hair dyer till it will wigle a little then spray wd-40 on it then double up on some fishing line and use that like a saw then it should fall of or you will be able to just twist it off then just goof off or goo gone to get the rest of the residue off and then repeat it on the other side. I have taken all the reflectors off my bike and most off of my dads street glide and that was the best way i found to do it.
